Presenting : Preventing Executions by Preventing Homicide:
How Our Society and Legal System Can Stop Murderers Before They Kill

What is the value of killing someone? How could that value be used to prevent the killing? David R. Dow is the Founder and Co-director of the Texas Innocence Network, professor at the University of Houston Law Center, author of six books and scores of scholarly articles, and featured TED and UP presenter. Through his experience of representing 100 death row inmates and his academic research, David came to recognize striking similarities in the biographies of death row inmates. Join David as he shares the insights of his research and how he believes our legal system and society can help prevent people from becoming death row inmates.
