On December 7, 2017 Robin Young-Ellis was inducted into the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame. The Gala recognizes outstanding women who have contributed significantly to the advancement of women and improved the quality of life for future generations of Houstonians. Inductees must have contributed significantly to the advancement of women and improved the quality of life for future generations of Houstonians and also agree with GHWCC’s mission of empowering women through advocacy, research and education.
Proceeds from the event benefit the chamber’s programs for women in the workplace advancement, including scholarships for young women in the area; Houston on Board, an initiative to see more women serving on corporate boards; and STEAM Town USA, an initiative to introduce third grade girls to science, technology, engineering, arts and math.
